Community leaders play an important role in promoting a sense of unity and connection between individuals in a given location.
Strong leadership communities have members who are capable of making a significant change in the group. In this way, community members feel free to develop emotional and trusting bonds with other members, while sharing places, experiences, stories and spending time together.
The purpose of this article, then, is to explain the different existing forms of community leadership and what characterizes successful leaders, and then to propose some suggestions to test the importance of recognizing these leaders.
This research proposal was developed in partnership with visiting researchers, therefore, all the work is in English.
